There Are Now More Blogs About Blogging Than There Actual Blogs On the Internet

A recent study by the technology publishing giant Ziff-Davis reports that there are now more blogs about blogging than there are actual blogs about anything else. The Ziff-Davis report surveyed over 100,000 bloggers and found that a full 84% of them were obsessed with becoming millionaires by blogging about how bloggers are becoming millionaires.

Making Money With Your Blog

You can make lots of money with your blog.
This graphic proves it!

Even more amazingly, some of you actually believed that first paragraph as if I didn’t just make it up. Which I did. So there.

You see, the lonely narcissistic weenies of the world members of the “blogosphere” have become obsessed with how wonderful they all are and have pretty much stopped writing about anything other than themselves, their blogs, and how they are making money by writing about themselves and their blogs. It’s a good thing we still have plenty of independent, impartial mass media companies that don’t do the same thing.

And because I simply can’t stand all this blogging about blogging, I’ve decided that the only way to set the entire world straight is to start blogging about my own blogs.

Yes. Blogs. With an “s” at the end.

I have not been very good about keeping up with this blog lately because I’ve been consumed with keeping up my numerous other revenue-generating blogs. You see, I have built a small blogging empire that brings in a fairly steady income. I don’t want to boast or make you jealous of my blogging riches, but if I play my cards right and invest my earnings properly I figure I can retire fairly comfortably right around the year 2433. That’s assuming the interest rates stay about the way they are now, of course.

With my financial future pretty much assured, I have decided to begin sharing some of my own very important blogging tips in this blog. These tips come right from my own experience as a revenue-generating blogger. They’re incredibly useful, they can’t be found anywhere else in the world, and they’re totally my ideas which no other blogger on the planet has ever thought of.

Tom Coffee’s Five Most Important Blogging Rules

Rule #1: Always split up a simple list of rules over numerous posts – You do this so that your visitors have to come back and read more of your rambling crap and you can trick the search engines into thinking you have more content than you really do. Whatever you do don’t keyword spam by writing about things like mesothelioma structured settlements against Darren Rowse that are real estate brokered by vioxx attorneys and lawyers in car accidents. That would be bad.

Rules 2 through 5 are also really important and I can’t wait to tell you about them.

Not in this post, though.

Heh! It’s true! But then, most of us started blogs so we could talk about ourselves anyway, so why not talk about how we’re talking about ourselves!

    Ahem… right… now what?

I new in blogging and one glaringly obvious thing, i notice is there are more blogs on blogging than all the bloggers worldwide. All these while I thought i’m seeing things! I’m the only one assuming there are so many blogs on blogging. That’s why i started my new blog called “Notorious B.L.O.G.” to take pot shots at blogging and bloggers.
Thank you for the Ziff-Davis article. I think there is something satirical brewing in my head. I’ll be back for my cuppa.
